During the days of Abraham God said in Gen 21:12; in Isaac shall thy seed be called; and God pronounced
a blessing on Isaac saying; in Isaac shall all the earth be blessed Gen 22:18. So God chose the family of Isaac through
the Faith of Abraham and began to work with them. In the course of time they went down into Egypt where they dwelt for
430 years before being brought out by God.
When the Passover night ended, Israel was thrust out of Egypt. Departing
that nation on the following evening; this began the first Feast of Unleavened Bread. Israel traveled through the
wilderness for five days; and walked across the Red Sea dryshod, on the sixth day. The sea then fell back to destroy
their pursuers and a special day of great rejoicing was observed on the Seventh and last day of this Feast of Unleavened Bread.
From there they traveled through the wilderness for 45 days; and on the next day a new beginning was started for Israel.
With the Marriage Covenant at Sinai, Israel entered into a special relationship with God.
This history
of Israel was written for our benefit. The history of physical Israel and the physical Covenant between Israel and God,
were types or examples 1 Cor 10:11 and Romans 15:4; and were recorded to instruct and guide us in the things of God. The
Holy Days were also given to God's people to instruct us in God's Great Plan. These Holy Days are a marvellous,
wonderful; gift from God. Anyone who despises these Appointed Times, or refuses to observe them, cannot even begin to
understand the plan that God is working out here below.
Daniel is told in Dan 12; that from the time that the great
abomination is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. Blessed is he that WAITS and comes to; the 1,335 days.
We are clearly told that Daniel will stand in HIS LOT at the END of the days; that is, after the 1,335th day.
When the abomination is "set up"; 1,290 days later will be the resurrection from the dead. This is
the reaping of the Spring, or early harvest, or the harvest of the firstfruits on the sixth day of Unleavened Bread. As
Israel went through a symbolic death and resurrection in the Red Sea on that day, they prefigured the resurrection to spirit
on that day. God did not have to bring them through the sea. HE DID THIS FOR A PURPOSE. He did this to INSTRUCT us. Forty-five
days later; shortly before Pentecost, the whole 1,335 days are completed. Resulting in a new beginning for humanity,
with God's spirit being poured out on all flesh Joel 2:28 and Acts 2; on the Day of Pentecost, and the establishment
of the KINGDOM OF GOD on the Feast of Pentecost. Even as the Theocratic KINGDOM OF ISRAEL was established at Saini on
that very Feast of Pentecost. Later, the Holy Spirit was officially given to the first fruits on a Feast of Pentecost
in 31AD and in the latter days God's spirit shall be given on the Feast of Pentecost to ALL flesh; as the New Covenant
is extended and God writes his law on the hearts of humanity, Heb 8:
10: For this is the covenant that I will make
with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:
and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: Heb 10:
16: This is the covenant that I will make
with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17:
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. For more on the
1,335 and the 1,290 days see our article on the subject. It is the last article on this Feast of Tabernacles page
